That was weird, but then again I've been seeing weird all night. I met a pitbull tonight. His fur Daddy said that he was trained to fight in the dog ring. Then he spent 3 years re-training him and he did one heck of a good job. It's the sweetest dog I've ever met and I've had dogs my entire life. I also used to train obediance to dogs and still never met a sweeter dog in my life. I was actually sad when I had to leav
Second toe next to my big toe, left foot.

Just broke it for the third time on the same set of steps, twice chasing a puppy this time tripping over my slippers. I'd call it a pain in the ass but its really more of a pain in the foot.
I fractured my right foot and dislocated my right shoulder on Dec. 23/2023. I still don't know what happened. I know that the police were there doing a welfare check, courtesy of my neighbor after I woke up in the hospital with my face all bruised. The nearest we can figure, I was low in electrolytes and then did a face plant. Which still does not explain the fractured right foot and dislocated right shoulder. But I digress. It is also the 3rd time I broke the 3 smallest toes on my right foot.

I can't stop laughing at this picture. Look at her little face. It's as though she heard him say, "Surgery did someone say surgery? OMG, someone did say surgery!"

P.S. How set are you on naming her Linda because look at those eyes. She has Opal eyes. I mean, wow, look at those eyes. She has perfect, Opal eyes

Oh no! And am so sorry to hear that happened, Michael59... Please heal up soon! All our good thoughts to you. Getting older is a lot of fun, eh?
Have you ever considered something like Life Alert or something similar? Though not sure it would have helped in this case. I'm glad you are okay and it wasn't worse; you could have hit your head on something.

This could as easily be in the political thread. But, this is about his dog.

FDR was literally dying at that point but made one of the best speeches of his career during the 1944 campaign for his fourth term. This was to a group of extremely drunk Teamsters but I never fail to get a big kick out of it. FDR built all the schools around here, they all have the same old look to them. My mom and aunt remembered FDR in his wheelchair coming in to visit the kiddies in with Fala.

For years gram used to run into Eleanor in the Grand Union shopping.

Yeah, well ... Pie has had a problem with her right rear leg a couple weeks now. I knew what it was - a torn cruciate ligament. One of her predecessors had that, plus in my brief go around as a vet assistant it was to assist and orthopedic surgeon doing exactly that. And he did that over and over like a treadmill as its the most common injury. It was the cornerstone of that practice and quite a money maker for them.

We're not using that one I worked for, this vet has an orthopedist she calls in that'll do it right there. So, we have a process to go through and some testing but probably at the end of June of after July 4th she'll be having another operation.

Oh, and every vet's office should look like this right?
