I recollect spending a long time in Cyprus looking for property to buy.
We went to a place called Molos in Limassol overlooking the by.
There was a three feet high 'break wall' which was there to protect the building including rock in the sea to stop the waves coming in.
It was late in the evening and the night air was a good 25 degrees.
I recollect standing on the wall and using a tripod to allow my camera to take a time exposure of the bay looking toward Larnaka.
I remember every second nearly as I stood behind my camera which was about 2 ft wide.
When I had the slide film developed by Kodak, this was what I found...a figure standing in front of my camera.
I sent the picture off to The Fortean Picture Library care of Janet Borg who had the picture examined by experts and wanted to allow publishing.
It became one of the most classic ghost pictures in the world and was featured on prime American TV at least twice.
Had also appeared in most of the ghost encyclopedias and famous magazines.
In order to have it published, I had to go part copyright with the Fortean Picture Library.
I am a researcher and did not wish to make any money from this. Instead, I jut wanted to hare with the world my experiences.
The last thing that I wanted was for people to be saying that the picture is a fake and that I did it for the money.
So I refused to accept any loyalties.
Unfortunately this was the condition in the contract and I had to receive payment by which I gave it all to charity.
They found out my address and I began getting lots of begging letters, so I stopped sending out money.
This picture made me a few thousand pounds in a few years. Production has now slowed down but it had become one of the classic ghost pictures of all time.
I tried explaining that this iss not a ghost, but my spirit guide, but they did not seem to care only that it made money!
There are at least another 30 or so magazines that I have by which I cannot show them all
The head appears dark. The figure has a long bib flowing downward from what appears to be a polo neck?
The distinguishing points that showed it's authenticity were the shadows and the fact it was a very hot evening making it very difficult to wear a polo neck!
